FACILITY
COMPLIANCE AUDITS |
| |
BSI's "Facility Compliance
Audit" is designed to:
1. Evaluate the facility's current status
in regards to current and proposed regulations and policies.
2.
Determine more economically sensible compliance solutions.
A
recent audit uncovered costly procedures that were unnecessary due to changes
in Coast Guard policy. These changes were not widely published. However,
because of BSI's close working relationship with district and headquarters
staff, appropriate alternative procedures were submitted that resulted in
substantial savings in operational costs.
It is BSI's goal to
provide our clients with compliance solutions that are economically sensible
while maintaining the highest level of protection from discharges of oils and
hazardous materials.

Upon completion of the audit, BSI
submits to the company a detailed listing of any discrepancies, along with
suggested compliance options. As applicable, BSI will issue pro-active response
policies to proposed regulations.
When requested, BSI will
organize facility records and monitor inspections conducted by the U. S. Coast
Guard. This eliminates surprises, helps clarify regulatory interpretation, and
promotes conciliatory relations. |
